Announcing career has included calling hundreds of sporting events across internet, public address, radio, and TV channels. Announced numerous NASCAR K&N Pro Series and USAC events along with announcing both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and IZOD IndyCar Series at Sonoma Raceway in 2012. Other highlighted events have included the 2011 Turkey Night Grand Prix, 2012 Utah Grand Prix, and both the 2012 & 2013 QMA Western Grands.

Blakesley Sports Media was chosen as the agency of record for the launch and the first two seasons of the new Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, CA.  When the opening announcement was made on February 1st, 2012, the press release was picked up by dozens of sources.  KCRP landed two stories in the Bakersfield Californian newspaper and received TV news coverage by three different stations in Bakersfield.  National media publications such as Speed51, Performance Racing Industry, RPM Promoters Workshop, and National Speed Sport News also ran the press release.  The grand opening attracted a sell out crowd of 8,000 fans.


Blakesley Sports Media was responsible for the track logo, website, marketing presentation to a potential title sponsor, Twitter page, and Facebook page.  Steven Blakesley eventually was named as full-time track Director of Marketing & Communications and served many other roles as track promoter.  The facility hosted televised races for series such as the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West, SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour, and King of the Wing Sprint Cars

Blakesley Sports Media was selected to lead the marketing efforts for the inaugural California Speedweek, which raced across all four Micro Sprint tracks in California in 2015 over four consecutive nights.  The marketing efforts resulted in more then $51,000 in prize money and more than 80 contingency prizes being awarded to the 120 racers who competed.  In 2016 the event has grown to offer $59,000 in prize money and 130 entries.  The series lost its title sponsor after the first year but was able to replace it and secure several division sponsorships as well.  The California Speedweek has grown to become one of the largest dirt races in all of California.  Steven Blakesley was upgraded from marketing duties and announcing to Managing Director of the series in 2016 leading all efforts for the Speedweek.
